As phono cartridge is very sensitive to vibrations, body material plays an important role. Different body dampening properties makes a unique sound.

 

COPPER SERIES CU

The Aidas Durawood ( and Durawood Bee)  cartridges have a beautiful, multicolor ( or grey , mixed grey)  Durawood body. Durawood is DIN 7707 compliant and is said to have similar qualities as Panzerholz - one of the strongest and hardest wood composites in existence.  Wood composite ( Green ) is the material consisting of wood dust and a special bonding resin. The material is stone hard with high level of chemical and moisture resistance.

As phono cartridge is very sensitive to vibrations, body material plays an important role. Different body dampening properties makes a unique sound. Different coil material makes even bigger impact on final sound reproduction. 
 
The Aidas Malachite Silver cartridges have a beautiful, multicolor green Tru-stone body. Tru Stone consists of more than 85% actual stone. Tru-Stone blanks are made by a unique process by pulverizing semi-precious stones into a powder, then combines them with other natural pigments and resins. This body does not only looks and feels very high-end but also have very unique damping properties

Different coil material makes even bigger impact on final sound reproduction. Gold plated coils do sound natural and detailed.
 
The Aidas Gold PL cartridges come with 3 different bodies: Tru-stone Gold web ,Black African Gabon wood and Brazilian Purpleheart  wood. Bodies are slightly different in mass and damping properties which makes them unique products, both wood types we use have excellent sonic properties. Tru-stone Gold web is a unique beautiful black artificial stone with gold powder inserted in a form of web. Tru Stone consists of more than 85% actual stone

The Aidas Gold PL cartridges come with 2 different bodies: Tru-stone Blue River Agate and Mammoth tusk body. . Tru-stone  is a unique beautiful  artificial stone consisting of more than 85% actual stone.
The Aidas Mammoth Gold is the newest and the most advanced of the Aidas cartridges. The cartridge’s body is made with the ivory from 21,000 year old Siberian wooly mammoth tusks.
Mammoth is the best and most unique material Aidas could ever find for his top cartridges. Better than stone, better than exotic wood or metals. 
It has very unique properties, sound wise. It was even compared to other types of bone / horn ( deer) material and is far more superior. It is super strong and damps unwanted vibrations perfectly.

The magnetic system has been upgraded with a larger alnico5 magnet, resulting in more stable and thicker magnetic fields in the gap. For the stylus, Aidas has opted for the Ogura Line Contact this time. Patented in 1978 in Japan by inventor Junshiro Ogura, the Line Contact stylus is shaped to allow maximum vertical contact with the groove walls while maintaining minimal front-to-back contact.
